Milestone announces an “uncompromising rally simulator” for Consoles that have minimal wheel support

WRC 4 Photo_9Milestone – A name. A legend. One of the most exciting rally challenges in the world. Four wheels. These are the ingredients that make up Milestone’s first proprietary IP dedicated to the world of autosports, a title that launches the player into the world of rally alongside one of the most iconic figures in the history of the sport: Sébastien Loeb. This uncompromising rally simulator debuts on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. Milestone studios are gearing up for a glorious 2015. Created in collaboration with nine-time rally world champion, Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo will powerslide into players’ homes all over the world with the aim of getting their adrenalin pumping and delivering all the thrills of the world of rally.

I’ll be honest, I’ve actually enjoyed the previous four Milestone WRC games on PC. Aside from stages that were a bit too wide and had a bit too many hairpins, there wasn’t anything fundamentally wrong with them. You either liked them, or you didn’t. And if you didn’t like them, well, you probably had Richard Burns Rally installed anyways.

But I find it strange these guys, who make most of their $$$ off of PC sales due to Steam integration and the monthly sales that see WRC 4’s price drop to around $10 (which is a damn good deal for how good WRC 4 is), would omit PC gamers altogether, especially when developing an uncompromising rally simulator.

Most Sim Racers would kill for a hardcore rally sim, and instead, you’re giving it to people with “share” buttons on their controllers, and whose wheels have 180 degrees of rotation and Fischer Price-quality pedals.

Yep that sounds totally reasonable.
